·        Students check out books on a flexible schedule

·        Students check out two books for two weeks

·        There is a one penny fine per day for late books (including weekends)

·        Books are purchased for the Media Center by student request, teacher request, latest editions, or selected by Ms. Cavazos or Mrs. Drew

·        Media Center lessons include:

1. Using the OPAC

2. Library Orientation

3. Research

4. Note Taking

5. Bibliography

·        Lessons in the Computer Lab include:

1.     Microsoft Word

2.     Microsoft Publisher

3.     Microsoft PowerPoint

·        Mrs. Watson maintains all computers in the Media Center as well as all Bryant staff computers

·        Teachers sign up for the Computer Lab on a “first come” basis

·        The Bryant Media Center collection consists of approximately 16,000 books
