Mr. Craig Branstetter is a Dos Palos High math teacher. He was born in Carmichael, and grew up in Dos Palos. He attended the college campus of CSU Fresno and attained a degree in finance. He started teaching at DPHS in 2001. This was not his only work area, however. He worked as a VP of Operations of a Credit Union for four years.
Besides his recent start, Mr. Branstetter is a very good teacher. All the students like him and all learn a lot from him. Students and kids is actually how he came to be a teacher. He was bored with his old job at the Credit Union, so he decided to find a new job. He just so happened to be coaching a basketball team and really enjoyed working with kids. That is how he came to be one of the great math teachers of DPHS. He doesn’t just want you to be a good student, however. His advice for students is to get active inside and outside of the classroom. Join a few sports and do a lot of activities. “You can go as far as you would like if you work at it.”
