Advice for students; Set goals and work for them, soon you will be adults. Now is when you must build a foundation for the rest of your life.

Mrs. O'Banion was born in Redwing, Minnesota, grew up in Los Banos and attended Fresno State. She received degrees in Home Economics and Reading Specialty. She began teaching in 1986 after working at JC Penney's through high school and college and at a day care center for a few months. Mrs. O'Banion had a friend who was involved in an accident, which is how she became acquainted with teaching. She teaches because she loves kids, the only thing she does not like is the paperwork, but says if she were to teach another subject it would be Math or Home Ec. She even likes to go watch her students play sports! Mrs. O'Banion has a close knit family that supports each other.
