Mrs. Zavala was born in Mexico. She grew up as a migrant familiy, and went to school in Los Banos, Firebaugh, Mendota and Tranquility. She started college in Merced and finished up in Stanislaus. Her degree is a BA in Foreign Language/Spanish. She Started teaching in Dos Palos in the summer of 1997 or 1998.
Mrs. Zavala has worked out of education. She was a secretary for the district from 1985 to 1992. She got involved in teaching because she wants others to LOVE literature as much as she does. She had the oppertunity to sub for a summer school Pre-kinder class a couple of years ago, and she loved it. What she loves about teaching is hearing from past students how much they have learned and how much her class has helped them in the real world, work or college. Her motto is "Si tiene remedio po que te quejas? Si no tiene remedio por que te quejas?" Translation "If there is a solution why do you complain? If there is no solution why do you complain?"
