Maribel Munoz

Miss Muņoz was born in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico where she lived until she was six years old and then moved to Firebaugh where she currently lives now. She went to collage at California State University in Fresno and earned a B.A. in Political Science, Social Science credential and a Math Supplement. She has also worked for Fresno State concessions for eight years and the Fresno Grizzlies two years as a concession supervisor. Miss Muņoz was also an intern in Scandinavian Middle School for three years and taught an AVID class. Miss Muņoz started teaching in 1997 at Scandinavian Middle School in Fresno until 2000 when she started teaching at Dos Palos. She got involved in to teaching because she enjoyed being an intern and decided to be a teacher, although she wanted to go to law school. If she was not a Math teacher, she would have enjoyed teaching Government or U.S. History. The only thing that she does not like about teaching is "the students that want everything spoon-fed to them." She loves to see when a student try's because most of the time they can accomplish what they want if they would try. Her motto is " Do to others as you would like to be done with you." Something that she finds interesting is that she often gets mistaken with her sister, who is also a teacher and goes by her maiden name.
