Mrs. Von Allman was born in Merced and raised in Dos Palos. She attended CSU Fresno, received her Bachelor's Degree and is now attending National University to get her credential and Masters in Special Education. As of now she has a Bachelors of Science and single subject credential in Health Science. Before becoming a teacher she worked for one year at the Stevinson Ranch Golf Course and completed an internship at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera County. Mrs. Von Allman began substituting in the fall of 1999 and taught first grade summer school in 2000. She began teaching at DPHS in the fall of 2000. At first Mrs. Von Allman wanted to help children get over physical disabilities, through substitute teaching she realized that she wanted to teach at a high school level. If she had to work at another job she would probably be a school counselor. She loves teaching because; "Knowing that I have the opportunity to make a difference through my students is very rewarding." Mrs. Von Allman and her husband are both graduates and teachers at DPHS and have one son.
