Graphic Design at Dos Palos High School

Design a logo that represents you.  Develop a thumbnail sketch of your ideas, draw a black and white comp.  Reproduce your logo in Adobe Illustrator.  Place your on a personal letterhead, business card and envelope.

Writing reports is also important in a graphic designer’s career.  Students select a famous artist that had an impact on graphic arts throughout history and they reproduce one of their works of art.

The graphics class produced their own info commercial about a teen topic:  drugs, alcohol, pregnancy, etc.  The students research their facts, wrote scripts,  acted with music to tell a story and filmed their own commercials.  They were incorporated into the Digital Media Class Talk Shows.

Students take a montage of various objects and arrange them inside a wooden box.  They draw the objects exactly to scale, then matching each color precisely, paint an exact replica.
