Course Description - This advanced course is designed to further familiarize the student with web page creation and Video Game Development. Students will advance their knowledge of building and designing web pages.  Students will learn

Macromedia Studio MX 2004 provides professional functionality for every aspect of web development and includes the newest versions of Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and FreeHand. Studio MX 2004 is also available with Flash MX Professional 2004.

Goals:

The goals of this course are to build on the skills learning in Internet Applications and develop a more advanced understanding of the computer and its impact on life. Students will gain knowledge of telecommunication and the skills necessary for Internet operation and how it applies to the world.

2nd Quarter - Macromedia MX 2004  Fireworks, Flash

Evaluation:

Students turn in assignments weekly. These assignments are evaluated and returned in a timely manner with a computerized grade print out.

90-100 = A
80-89 =   B
70-79 =   C
69- 60 =  D
Below =  F

Classroom Management:

Students are expected to respect teachers, peers, and equipment.  Students are expected to turn in their assignments in a timely fashion.  Late assignments will be scored at a lesser value and accepted up to two weeks after initial due date.  Students will be warned once before being sent for disciplinary action.  Cheating is handled per student handbook.

Homework:

There is no homework in this class.  All assignments should be completed during class time.  If a student is absent in Room 300 after school.  This lab is open on Monday - Thursday 3-4 pm.
