Problem Resolution and Escalation Protocol

Start Where the Work Lives

We want to make sure your questions and concerns are addressed quickly and effectively. The best way to do that is to begin with the person closest to the situation.

Start Here

If you have a concern, begin with the staff member directly involved (teacher, coach, or office staff). They are best positioned to understand the situation and often can resolve it quickly.

Step 1 – Direct Conversation

Speak directly with the staff member involved.
Most concerns can be resolved at this level.

Step 2 – School Site Administration

If the issue is not resolved, contact your school principal or site administrator.

You can expect a response within approximately 3 working days.

Step 3 – District Office

If the concern remains unresolved after working with the school, you may contact the District Office.

Escalation is appropriate if:

  • You have not received a response from the school within a reasonable timeframe
  • The issue requires district-level support or decision-making
  • The concern involves school leadership
  • There is a safety or legal concern

Concerns sent directly to the District Office may be referred back to the school for initial review.

Important Exceptions

You may contact the District Office directly for:

  • Student safety concerns
  • Allegations of harassment or discrimination
  • Situations involving potential legal issues
  • Concerns involving the school principal

These matters will be reviewed promptly.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Listening carefully
  • Responding in a timely and respectful manner
  • Working collaboratively to resolve concerns
  • Keeping the focus on student success

Starting at the level closest to the issue helps us respond faster and serve you better.
