About the Student Support Department
The Student Support Department helps students with their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Our main goal is to make sure every student feels safe, happy, and ready to succeed in school.
Our department includes a team of dedicated professionals, such as school counselors, psychologists, and social workers. We work together with students, families, teachers, and administrators to help students overcome challenges that might affect their learning and well-being.
Our Core Responsibilities
- Counseling and Mental Health: We provide individual and group counseling to help students manage stress, friendships, or difficult emotions. We also support students during tough situations and share helpful mental health resources with families.
- Special Education Services: Our team helps identify students who need extra learning assistance. We create customized education plans and work with teachers to make sure every student gets the classroom accommodations they need.
- Behavior and Guidance: We support students who struggle with behavior by teaching them positive coping strategies. We also design specialized behavior plans and social skills programs to help students stay on track.
- Family Partnerships: We offer guidance and resources to parents to help them support their child's growth. We also host workshops and help families navigate school policies and community programs.
- School Teamwork: We collaborate daily with teachers and principals to build a supportive school environment. We make sure communication stays open between the school and your home.
